About Me

My name is Rodrigo Ferreira.

I am 41 years old, born in Uruguay, and living currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I am passionate about traveling and mountain trekking and climbing.

While traveling I realized how fundamental it is to speak other languages and be able to communicate efficiently with others.

I met my wife while traveling in the Middle East in 2008. In March 2010 I left my country of origin and we moved together. Since then I have been living in Switzerland, China, Brazil, and now Argentina.

I believe in learning how to communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds in order to bridge differences and realize that we are all the same.

Through my life I have learnt and studied several languages. Some of them I have almost forgotten (Hebrew, Italian, French). Others are still there and will alway be (Spanish, English, German, Portuguese). And some others (Mandarin) I need to get back to study in order to protect it from oblivion.

In October 2013 I moved from Beijing to Brazil. I had recently spent 3 months traveling around south and south-east Asia. I had spent 15 days at a Monastery in Thailand, and I was inspired to teach. I would have like to teach in Asia as a voluntary English or Spanish teacher. But this would have been incompatible with my situation as a husband and family-man. So, that is how and why I came up with this website in November 2013.

This is basically who I am. A man with some few things to share with others. I hope that you can find something interesting here.
