1. Convert the following sentence into English:

Él está corriendo muy rápido.

Vocabulary:

to run = correr
muy = very
rápido = fast

2. Convert the following sentence into English:

Ellas están pensando ir.

Vocabulary:

pensar = to think
ir = to go

NOTA: En inglés para decir “pensar en ir” diríamos “pensar acerca de ir”, y sería “about going”. Aquí el gerundio inglés no está usándose como un tiempo progresivo, sino para sustantivizar un verbo, como vimos al final de la clase 48 acerca de “TO como partícula”.

3. Convert the following sentence into English:

Mike está comiendo en este momento.

Vocabulary:

comer = to eat
en este momento = at the moment (también puede decirse “at this moment” o “right now”. Pero a efectos de este ejercicios usaremos sólo “at the moment”.

4. Convert the previous sentence from Present Continuous to Past Continuous:
(Convierte la oración anterior de Presente Progresivo a Pasado Progresivo)

En otras palabras, en vez de “está comiendo” debería ser “estaba comiendo” (al igual que en español, simplemente cambiamos el verbo auxiliar, del presente al pasado).

5. Convert the following sentence into the Present Continuous:

Karen and Joana work very hard.
(Karen y Joana trabajan muy duro/trabajan mucho)

6. Convert the previous sentence from Present Continuous to Past Continuous:

(Mis padres viven una vida confortable)
