Spanish lesson #172: Today we’ll continue just reviewing and practicing. In this class I want to you take some seconds to think how to say in Spanish the sentences and phrases I will be posting to you verbally. Also, I want you to train your hearing. I will be speaking slowly so you can try understand what I say. I’ll also explain some specifics about the grammar of the phrases, but the main idea is to give you a chance to think the answers.

  1. Also, I don’t think the literal translations are adding to the lesson, they are confusing since its not how we speak English and makes no sense. The best thing is to present the translation that is in good English, students can play with literal translations on their own, but normally that is not necessary.

  2. pez is fish, pescado is fish that has been caught, can be alive or dead, just depends on how it is stored. I think this is the better translation.
