In our Spanish lesson #56 we will learn the Spanish formal subject pronoun USTED. Spanish is a formal language, like German, and whenever we speak to somebody that is hierarchically superior, or of considerably older age, or even somebody we are not related with and to whom we show respect out of education, we need to address him/her as “usted” instead of “tú”. The conjugation for “usted” is the same as for “Él/Ella” (He/She/It).
Although we are focussing more on vocabulary and grammar, pay attention to the Spanish pronunciation, and remember to practice repeating the same words and sounds.
