Spanish pronouns using Spanish prepositions A/PARA (to/for)

Same as in English (we say “this is for me” instead of “this is for I”), the personal pronoun in Spanish changes when we use the prepositions A and PARA. Watch this short video to listen to the explanation. But below I’ll show you a few examples so that you can see how it works and how similar it is with English language:

Subject pronoun – Example using Spanish pronouns A/PARA

YO – Esto es para (This is for me)
YO – Dámelo a (Give it to me)

TÚ – Esto es para ti (This is for you)
TÚ – Te lo doy a ti (I give it to you)

ÉL – Esto es para él (This is for him)
ELLA – Se lo doy a ella (Give it to her)

NOSOTROS – Esto es para nosotros (This is for us)
NOSOTROS – Dánoslo a nosotros (Give it to us)

VOSOTROS – Esto es para vosotros (This is for you all)
USTEDES – Se lo doy a ustedes (I’ll give it to you all)

ELLOS – Esto es para ellos (This is for them)
ELLAS – Dénselo a ellas (Give it to them)

As you can see, the pronoun only changes for YO (mí) and for TÚ (ti). The others do not change. But notice how “mí” is written with an accent (“tilde” in Spanish). Because “mi” (without the “tilde”) is a different word that means “my”.
