What’s the time in Spanish (qué hora es)
In our previous class I taught you how to say the time in Spanish. This is a continuation of that previous lesson. After watching this class, if you have already watched the previous one, you will be able to easily ask and tell the time in Spanish whatever the circumstance. That is, because I’m pretty sure I’m covering all the relevant possibilities in these two articles and in the video-lessons.
First lets review some of the concepts from the previous class. This is the basic Spanish vocabulary needed to tell the time in Spanish.
Vocab you must know for telling the time in Spanish:
- en punto – o’clock
- y media – (and) half
- y cuarto – (and) quarter
- menos cuarto – (minus) quarter
- casi – almost
- pasadas – past
- mediodía – noon
- medianoche – midnight
- de la mañana – in the morning
- de la tarde – in the afternoon
- madrugada – wee hours / early morning (between midnight and sunrise)
The examples that I will be explaining in this lesson are:
